Celebrities Gone Wild: The Lawrence Taylor Situation

"From Playoffs to Handcuffs"

Mr. New Material
Its official, Former NFL player Lawrence Taylor, is caught up in the mix! Lately Lawrence has managed to rack up more negative press than a bad hair day by Angelina Jolie. The "allegations" of him raping a 16 year old girl are spreading across the TV monitors and Internet like a California wildfire. It seems as though Lawrence Taylor a.k.a. "Mr. Dancing with the Stars", has a major problem on his hands. The real question when it comes to this Celebrity controversy is not whether he committed the crimes of having sex with a minor and patronizing prostitution in the 3rd degree, but rather, will he be convicted of the crimes and go to jail? With all of the sugarcoated and garbage gossip floating around, who's to know what the real outcome of this "embarrassment" will be. Since no convictions have been made yet, let's just go over the "hype" of what's being said about this "shameful" case and explore in more detail.

Lawrence Taylor "Paid for P" and the girl was 16....that's what's being said. Some of you may be thinking "what does that mean?", that means he is accused of paying a 16 year old "runaway" to have sex with him. Sure Lawrence Taylor has been accused and convicted of many things through out his life such as, drug and alcohol convictions however; the allegations of 3rd degree rape and participating in prostitution really "take the cake". While Lawrence Taylor's lawyer barks about how his client "didn't rape anybody", he still admitted to having sex with someone who was 16, unknown to his knowledge, and in New York, that's a felony! And what of the 16 year old girl? "Apparently" she was a runaway that was forced to have sex by her pimp. "Apparently" her pimp, who was previous convicted of first degree manslaughter and released in 2008, beat her and forced her to go to Lawrence Taylor's room at the Holiday Inn. Reports say she was instructed by her pimp to tell Taylor she was 19. Was all of this a setup to begin with? Lawrence Taylor's wife surely thinks so and so does his lawyer, however; is that what the judge will think? While details are still being released about this case, the chance of Lawrence Taylor getting a pass like that of R. Kelly and Micheal Jackson, are slim to none. Perhaps the reason why R. Kelly and Jackson were not convicted was due to their popularity, they are internationally "loved" icons of entertainment, what is Taylor? He is now a has been to many people, an retired NFL player that makes TV cameo appearances, just for a check, nothing more.

I personally believe that this may be the "end of the road" when it comes to Taylor's entertainment career. This may possibly be the most amount of trouble he can get in. No, it wasn't the crime of murder, however; the crime of "shameful embarrassment" ranks a close second. Regardless of the outcome of Lawrence Taylor's situation, it's unlikely that he or his family will "bounce back" from all of the recent backlash. I truthfully have always been a big fan of LT, whether it came to his skills on the field or his acting ability, so I'm sincerely hoping that he can once again make it out of the hell he got himself into. Until then.....only time will tell!

So much of this case is shady, but point blank, LT wasn't being smart at the very least! Nice job here.
