Celebrities Tweet on Easter Earthquake

A 7.2 earthquake in Mexico's Baja peninsula shook Southern California at around 3:40 p.m. on Easter Sunday. Its aftershocks rattled Southern California while rattled celebrities took to Twitter.

Syesha Mercado: Ever perform "Dreamgirls" while an Earthquake is happening?.....I have.....lol It was scary.

Paris Hilton: "OMG! So scary, just felt an Earth Quake! Anyone else feel it? I hope there isn't anymore."

Denise Richards: "Hope everyone is ok..it was a 6.9 Baja Ca. felt it in la."

Brooke Burke: "HOLY S***!!!!!! I have never felt an earthquake like that!!!!!!"

Ashton Kutcher: "We just felt an earthquake in LA that happened in mexico?"

Lisa Rinna: "Ok THAT was scary. I was in the car at a stop light and boy did I feel the quake!"

Josh Groban: "That was a slow rolling Easter quake! My grandma didn't feel it because she was "making the bed". Makes sense. Hope everyone is alright!!"

LeVar Burton: Wow!!!! I'm in Downtown LA. We just had an EARTHQUAKE!

Super Bowl star Reggie Bush: "I'm in San Diego and I felt it."

No major damage has been reported in San Diego and Los Angeles. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake occurred 6.2 miles below the earth's surface. In Mexico, there were reports of electricity outages, people trapped in elevators and collapsing walls.

A second earthquake occuring in Santa Rosa was also confirmed by the USGS at 3:49 p.m. This was confirmed as an independent earthquake and not an aftershock of the 3:40 p.m. quake. No signficant damage has been reported as a result of the Santa Rosa quake thus far.

    Not a celeb, but my friend in San Diego said that out of all the disastrous threats and events - this was the only one that really scared him. Glass items fell off of shelves -pipes broke in the plumbing system in his apartment building.
