Celebrity Apprentice Season Premiere

Donald Trump's latest reality TV series, "The Celebrity Apprentice" premiered on Wednesday night. This season's show involves 14 celebrities trying to win the prized spot as Trump's apprentice. This time around, they will be competing to receive money for their charities on this show. The Apprentice winner will also be delivering a $250,000 bonus check to their respective charity.

The 14 celebrity contestants include: star softball player, Jenny Finch; Kiss rock star, Gene Simmons; former boxing champ, Lennox Lewis; Taxi actress, Marilu Henner; actor, Stephen Baldwin; Ultimate Fighting star, Tito Ortiz; former Apprentice contestant, Omarosa; country music star, Trace Adkins; 2005 Playboy playmate, Tiffany Fallon; model/actress, Carol Alt; Olympic skating legend, Nadia Comaneci; Sopranos star, Vincent Pastore; NBC "America's Got Talent" judge, Piers Morgan; and former Telemundo executive, Nely Galan.

For the first challenge, Mr. Trump informed the celebrities they would divide into males versus females, and decide on their project managers. The males selected Stephen Baldwin as project manager. Gene Simmons came up with the team name, "Hydra", which refers to a mythical 7-headed beast. The females had Omarosa instantly elect herself as team leader since she had been through Apprentice before. This lead to early friction amongst the females. Their team name was "Empresario", as selected by Nely Galan. The first contest would be to see which team could generate more sales from a hot dog stand in New York City.

The female team set up their hot dog stand on 34th and 7th which was convenient to the subways, while the males set up near Radio City Music Hall. The males relied heavily on their celebrity contacts to raise big money. Gene Simmons came through in a major way getting several huge contributors including a $10,000 donation. Marilu Henner shined for the females by selling two bottled waters at $5,000 a piece to a few of her connections.

The girlfriend of Tito Ortiz, porn star Jenna Jameson, showed up to spend $200 for a hot dog and drum up some more business for the males. Jenny Finch called in her pal David Wright of the New York Mets who bought out the rest of the hot dog cart with 10 minutes left in the contest. Wright had hot dogs given away for free to spectators on behalf of the female team. New York's Mayor, Michael Bloomberg, also showed up to taste test a hot dog from each team's cart.

When the teams met again in front of Mr. Trump, it was determined that the females had sold $17,000 worth of hot dogs. The males easily topped this with over $52,000 in sales. Due to this the females would have to lose a team member and it came down to Omarosa, Carol Alt and Tiffany Fallon as the final three. Omarosa told Mr. Trump if it was up to her, she would fire Carol. Mr. Trump decided that Tiffany could have used her huge celebrity contact of Hugh Heffner to get money, but she failed to do so on the challenge. As Mr. Trump said, Tiffany was the nicest person there and in business, often they are the ones fired. With that, Tiffany Fallon was the first celebrity axed from the show.

The next episode will feature a bit of a confrontation between rock star Gene Simmons and Trump's daughter Ivanka. It appears the Kiss star may have insulted the boss' daughter and gone just a bit too far. Who will be the next celebrity to be told "You're Fired"?
