Celebrity Baby Watch 2008

2008 is already proving to be a great year for those interested in celebrities adding a new bundle of joy to the entourage. For many couples, this will be their first child; making it all the more interesting to gather first glimpses of these babies and see how closely they resemble their famous mom or dad.

Already new making an appearance this year have been babies born in January. Christina Aguilera and her husband welcomed a boy, while Nicole Richie and her fiancé Joel Madden welcomed a girl.

Soon, others celebrities in the music business will be welcoming babies. Jennifer Lopez and her husband Mark Anthony will be expecting, one, possibly two (rumor has it) babies very soon. Likewise, Gwen Stefani and her husband Gavin Rossdale are expecting their second child later this year. The couple already has a son Kingston who looks just as handsome as his father. Adding another girl to the mix in the near future is Dixie Chick Martie McGuire. She and her husband already are the proud parents of twin daughters.

Not to be outdone, many actors and actresses are also expecting. January brought Julianna Margulies and her husband a baby boy. Also expecting their first babies later this year are Matthew McConaughey and his girlfriend, Jessica Alba and Cash Warren, and, while not a first time-parent, actor Ethan Hawke and his girlfriend are expecting their first child together. Second time parents Tori Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott, already parents to son Liam, are expecting their second child later this year.

While the year is only beginning, there are many more celebrity announcements that are on the way. While rumors are circulating that Angelina Jolie and partner Brad Pitt are expecting their second child with each other, no confirmation has been made. Furthermore, actress Eva Longoria-Parker and her husband basketball player Tony Parker have not announced a pregnancy; however, Eva has mentioned on interviews that both would like a family.

Only time will tell celebrity baby watchers not only who has a baby this year, but also if there will be bundles of pink or blue around their houses. Until then, we just have to keep guessing, but guessing whether someone is having a boy or girl is half the fun!
