Celebs Lend Their Names and Design Talents to Some of Today's Hottest Fashions

Gwen Stefani may not be a "hollaback girl" (that is slang for a follower), but she does have two incredibly successful clothing lines. Harajuku Lovers is an Asian inspired line of tops and bags that retails for less than $100. She also has a higher end line, L.A.M.B. (Love Angel Music Baby) where a wrap dress goes for around $465. So is Gwen the only celebrity fashion entrepreneur out there? No, she is not. It seems like everywhere you look celebrities are dipping their toes into the pool of fashion design. Here is a look at some of the celebs that are turning rags into riches.

Beyoncé launched her line of clothing, House of Dereon, in 2005, with mom Tina Knowles acting as co-designer. (Tina also designs many of Beyoncé's stage ensembles.) A pair of jeans from House of Dereon can go for as much as $158, while a hand beaded dress runs about $695. Swimwear has a retail price of $100 and up.

One of the most successful celebrity fashionistas besides Stefani is Jennifer Lopez. J Lo, Sweetface, and Just Sweet are the brands that she is behind. J Lo is a hip, youthful line that was started in 2001, and Sweetface is a more upscale line. Just Sweet is a rebranded version of J Lo. The J Lo brand includes swimwear, footwear, lingerie, fragrance and accessories. It is a moderately priced line with a bubble tunic top running $79 and Bermuda shorts with a price of $59.

Singer Nelly created the Apple Bottoms line for women of all shapes and sizes who want to be fashion forward. The brand includes a wide variety of clothing items from casual to sexy and offers plus sizes as well. Tees run from $40-$60, bottoms start at about $55, and dresses run around $98

Celebrity branded fashions can be within your budget. BITTEN by Sarah Jessica Parker will be available June 7, 2007 exclusively at Steve & Barry stores. SJP's vision for this line is that fashionable clothes can be affordable. All of the price points are $20 and lower. Tees run as low as $7.98 and a darling pair of pants is only $14.98. This is an astonishingly nice line of clothing from the woman who made fashion fun again during her reign as Carrie Bradshaw on "Sex and the City".

Just because a woman is not a size 2 does not mean that she doesn't want to look fashionable. Queen Latifah (better known as Dana Owens) is a curvy woman who knows that the full figured woman wants to look sexy and Queen Latifah herself inspires the Curvations line. The price for tops is in the $55-$100 range, while bottoms start at $85.

A former songstress herself, Victoria Beckham, wife of British soccer superstar David Beckham, has designed a line of jeans for Rock & Republic called VB Rocks. Originally intended as a line of jeans to "lift the bum", VB rocks should soon be expanded into a full line of women's clothing, children's clothes, and men's jeans.

Celebrity branded fashions feature today's hottest trends and allow most everyone to wear the styles that are fashion favorites of the stars.

They have nice clothing lines, but the prices are way too much.
