Celebrity Nail Styles Spotted on Lady Gaga, Kid Sister, Beyonce

Beyonce, Rihanna, Janet Jackson, Queen Latifa -- Not to Point a Finger at Anybody

Take a close look at the next celebrity photo you see. The fashionistas, the stars, the big names. From Beyonce to Solange, nail art is news, and hot new nail designs are becoming an extension of a celeb's overall image. You might see anything from gleaming gold (Beyonce) to ten little portraits of her very own face (Lady Gaga) to tiger stripes (Rihanna) to multicolored rhinestones (Kid Sister). Prepare to be dazzled by paint, polish and pictures. Yes, you will still see the ever-popular French manicure. But look for the reverse French manicure too. If the celebrities make fashion statements all the way down to their fingertips, why shouldn't you?

New nail designs seen on celebrities are blatant, bold and wild, but now and then surprisingly understated. French manicures, reverse French, and shiny black and white, are seen as often as vivid reds and pinks. Metallic makes it everywhere, but so does the no-sheen look of matte polish. The basic short red manicure still appears, and so do pink nails as long as Elvira's. Whether you want high style acrylic nails or a new look for your own natural nails, these celebrity nail art ideas will inspire you.

Tiger Stripes.
Can it be this easy, Fergie? Thin black stripes painted sideways across a shiny silver base coat. Ferocious, and Fergadaciousl

Black Satin, Baby
It's not goth anymore. It's fashionista fabulous. It's so shiny you can see your face in it. Black Satin nails, just to the fingertip. Do them with a rounded edge. Chanel makes the polish, if you can find it. Who wears it? Just about everybody from Janet Jackson on.

Gotta Be Neon.
Solange Knowles was seen with nothing but Neon Pink on her nails. No art, no design, just see-it-all-the-way-across-the-room-neon pink on medium length nails. M.I.A. had hers done in Neon Lemon Screaming Yellow. How hot is that with all black? Sizzling, and simple.

Love, Initially.
How to tell the world you love the guy? Paint your nails white and glossy with a big red heart right in the middle, above his initials. So you can say "I heart (him)" on every nail. At least that's what Heidi Montag did for Spencer.

Logo Girl.
You can paint your favorite logo in white right on those patent leather look nails. Small, classy and centered. Heidi has been seen all logo'ed up with Chanel. Initials work too.

Leopard Spots.
Now she's fierce. At least Fergie's wild black and gold leopard nails are. Can you say "Meow?"

Look of Lace.
Lovely lace fabric applied to glossy rose nails makes an unforgettable ladylike look. And how classy would that be in white on white? Very.

Reverse French.
If you see Paris Hilton out and about, you might catch her with white half moons and purple black polish painted on short nails. A wow look, and so easy to do.

Disco Ball.
Rows of tiny shiny silver mirrors reflect light when they're pasted on Katy Perry's nails.

Blingbling.
This just in: Kid Sister has been seen in glitzy nails with rhinestones of every color. Long nails, lots of bling.

Tip tops.
Here is a thought: Just paint the tips. It's a new look, with flesh tone nails and bright bold tips.

Fine fine art.
You can have almost anything on your fingernails if you find the right salon. Lady Gaga has her own portrait painted on every fingernail in glossy honey beige with black line art.

Obamaface.
Rihanna was seen recently with black fingernail polish, except for one pinky painted with a portrait of President Obama's face. Political Polish!

Gold Glitters.
How did Beyonce get her fingertip length nails such an uber-metallic gold? It's not a polish, it's a Minx - icure.

More about Minx.
The celebrities you see sporting uber-metallic nails have probably been Minxed! Minx nails aren't polish, they're a synthetic coating. Check to see if your salon can apply them. Basically you pick a sticker you love, they heat it under a lamp for a sec, and then on your nail it goes. Because it's slightly melted, it adheres to your nail. Your nail tech then files and trims the excess sticker away. The application of Minx nails is a bit more expensive than an ordinary manicure. It might be worth it, though, to wear the most original nail design of the season.

I think that sometimes women take their nails too far, but as a guy I probably would :)

I have almost as many colors of nail polish as I do Crayola crayons. My nails are very short.. but I love bright colors!

Used to be that nails like this were a sign of being a "cheap broad."

This seems like a lot of time consuming detail for this artwork on nails.

It is interesting to note that Linda's computer is equipped wit the latest thing in computer technology, an analytical laugh track. It not only at her her attempts at humor, it analyzes it, produces proportionate laughter and gives a number on a scale of 1 to 10 as to just how funny it is. This is an awesome technological advance!
