If you are on a gluten Free Diet, this quick and simple list will help guide you on what ingredients to avoid. Do NOT eat foods with these ingredients, instead look for gluten free substitutes. Fortunately today it is a lot easier to find gluten free foods than it was 20 years ago. Many companies exist with replacement products so you can enjoy a wheat free diet.

1. AVOID most flours such as products that contain self-rising flour, semolina, white flour, bromated flour, durum flour, enriched flour, graham flour and phosphated flour.

You can buy gluten free baking mixes, gluten free pastas, gluten free candy, gluten free cookies, gluten free rice mixes, gluten free snacks, even gluten free pizzas and frozen entrees! If you are unsure if a product is gluten free there are many forums and community groups on the internet of seasoned old timers to gluten free diets and you can ask a question until you get a general consensus answer! Additionally, many companies will offer detailed nutritional information when querying as to whether a product is gluten free or not.

At first eating gluten free can feel overwhelming, but with some time and experience under your belt you will learn it can be very simple and is just a matter of making some educated diet choices.
