Celine Dion Fragrance: Her Smell is Better Than Her Sound

Ah, yes. We all remember the hauntingly whiny theme song to the blockbuster hit Titanic. My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion topped the charts and became a permanent fixture of the "songs I wish I could forget" jukebox in my mind. I remember seeing Celine sing the song live on MTV or something, and I asked myself, "Why does this woman beat herself while she sings?" Maybe it was because she didn't like the perfume she was wearing!

Last year, the beautiful and enchanting Celine Dion came out with a scent just as beautiful and enchanting as she herself is. Celine didn't just have someone design a perfume to name after her; she was involved in every step. From the scent to the bottle to the advertising, Celine had her hands in the pot.

One day before Christmas last year, I was walking through Sears. There was a big display of Celine Dion fragrance, so I spritzed some on my wrist. Boy, was I surprised by the pleasant scent! Since it was by Celine Dion, I expected the scent to be frouffy (is that a word?) and powdery. To my surprise, Celine Dion is a fresh, clean, floral and woodsy scent. It's the perfect blend of florals and woods scents to suit me. And, believe me, it's really difficult for me to find a fragrance that I like.

For Christmas, I received the Celine Dion fragrance package, which included the fragrance, shower gel, lotion and a CD. I don't know exactly how much it was, but I do know that you can purchase it at virtually any department store. They are sold either individually or as a set. Celine Dion makes an EXCELLENT gift.

The top notes of the fragrance are dewy red berry, peppercorn poppy, cyclamen, water lily, and muguet. The mid notes are Tahitian tiare flower, mimosa, orange blossom and yellow rose. The base notes and floralcy is supported by watm amber, sandalwood, creamy blonde woods and sensuous musk.

Bottle sizes include 0.5 fl. oz, 1.7 fl. oz, and 3.4 fl. oz (which I have and which this review is on). The bottle is a bit too large to carry in my purse, so an atomizer is a nice tagalong gift with this fragrance.

There is an essence quiz that has personal reflections from the diva herself, a store locator, information about the fragrance, updates about new products, and so on.

Sets run anywhere between $22 and $42. Some of the stores you can find Celine Dion besides Sears are JC Penney, Gottschalk's, Nordstrom's, and Kohl's.

Celine Dion fragrance, whether you like the singer or not, is an excellent scent. It would make a wonderful gift for anyone-- especially someone looking for a new fragrance.
