Cell Phone Chain Talkers Are More Annoying Than Chain Smokers

Ostracizing Chronic Cell Phone Users May Be the Only Answer

Chronic cell phone "chain talkers" are more annoying than cigarette smokers ... and just as hazardous to the health, happiness and well being of others. With their phones glued to their ears and embedded into their mouths, they babble on whenever and wherever they choose. Here are some of their most annoying habits.

Talking or Texting While You're Driving is not only annoying, it slows up traffic and it's dangerous. Strict no talk - no text laws should be enacted and strictly enforced with fines starting at $250 for the first offense, $500 for the second offense and $1000 for the third offense. Talking and texting while driving is more dangerous than speeding!

Loud Annoying Musical Ringtones Are Noise Pollution. Nobody wants to hear loud music play every time someone's cell phone rings. Not everybody enjoys someone else's taste in music. Start correcting the habit at home with your children by not letting them download annoying musical ringtones. Municipalities should issue citations with fines starting at $250 for disturbing the peace to cell phone users with loud annoying ringtones.

Wearing Cell Phone Clipped on Pants or Handbag. Cell Phone cases are not fashion accessories and actually detract from your appearance. Carson Kressley, Kyan Douglas, Thom Felicia and Ted Allen constantly made this plea to people on "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy" ... but apparently it fell on deaf ear.

Not Turning Your Cell Phone Off in The Movies, The Theater, Restaurants, Churches, Libraries, Doctor's Offices and Places Where It Annoys Others. There are some public places where cell phones are just totally inappropriate. Yet some people insist on intentionally leaving their phones turned on. "Cell Phones Not Welcome" signs should be placed in restaurants, churches, theaters, concert venues and other similar places. Violators should be asked to leave by the management.

Talking on The Cell Phone In Restaurants. It's rude to the person you're dining with, the restaurant staff and everyone trying to enjoy a pleasant meal. Restaurants should ban cell phones period. If they have a large business lunch clientele, they should create "cell phone" sections ... preferably in some already noisy area like near the kitchen door. Hopefully cell phones, like smoking, will someday be banned in restaurants and other public places

Talking Loudly On the Phone In Public. If you have to yell over the phone to be heard, you shouldn't be on the phone. Find a private place where you can talk in a normal voice or call the party back later. Every time somebody talks loud on the phone in public, ask them to be quiet. Once they're embarrassed often enough, they'll change. If not, they're brain dead, totally selfish and self absorbed or need to see a shrink fast.

Discussing Personal Matters Or Nonsense on Phone. Nobody wants to hear about all the gory details about someone's aunt's surgery, their sex life, their rotten boss, what they'rehaving for dinner or other personal affairs. This includes the person they're talking to.

Answering The Phone Anytime and Anywhere It Rings. People need to get over themselves. Nobody is that important that they have to answer every call, that's why they invented voice mail and caller ID. Constantly Checking Cell phone for messages is just as bad.

"No Cell Phone Zones", bans on cell phone usage in restaurants and other public places, "cell phone sections", and heavy fines for talking and texting while driving and noise polluting ring tones could all loom on the horizon. Maybe chronic cell phone addicts will also have to where a "Scarlet P" too!
