The game titled "Connect Four" is a somewhat older game which some of you may remember from your childhood. The rules are simply, and anyone can play with ease. The goal of Connect Four was to get four of your pieces in a row before the other player. The pieces were basically black and red checkers, one player standing for black, the other player standing for red. Getting your pieces in a row sounds easy, right? Wrong. If you played someone that was extremely strategic, this game was very difficult. As I said before, you need to get four checkers in a row before the other player. The row can either be vertical, horizontal, or diagonal.
Now you can download Connect Four onto your phone using such software as "Get It Now", which is generally used on Verizon phones. The game doesn't cost that much to download - maybe an $8 fee.
There are many modes in Connect Four for your cell phone, which enhances the "fun factor" of it's gameplay. The three modes are 'Solo Play', 'Pass Play', and 'Online Play'.
Solo Play is self-explanatory, as it's playing with yourself. The opposing player is a computer that can be set on three different difficulty settings - Easy, Medium, and Hard. Solo Play is generally for when there's no one else around and you have minimal amounts of service, or when you don't feel like dealing with people online either.
Pass Play is when you play Connect Four with a friend or family member in person. This means that you must be physically able to hand the cell phone off to another person. Otherwise, you're playing with yourself, against yourself.
The last mode for Connect Four, which is my personal favorite, is Online Play. When someone plays Online Play, they can play real people from all over the world. Also, added features such as the "Hall of Fame" is viewable when in Online Play mode. You can also set your alias, which is the name others see you by. When playing against someone online you can also communicate with them. In order to do so, hit the "0" key and a menu will pop up. From there, you insert letters using the "ABC Mode" of texting, and hit "Ok", "Enter", or whatever you enter-type button is to send the message.
I highly recommend downloading this game. There is almost always people to play against online, and you can be entertained for hours!
