Cell by Stephen King

Stephen King is an amazing writer. Every book that I have read by him all wind up being great. How he comes up with half of the things he writes about is beyond me. All the violent and graphic scenes that he imagines for his novels are just twisted. King's mind is truly something else. I wonder how he comes up with all of his ideas.

One of my most favorite Stephen King novels by far is called Cell. That book just blew me away. It was so creative, and the way the story took place, I had to read it more than once. All the violence and action was somewhat disturbing and weird but I still enjoyed it. The way King described everything with such detail, like how blood spurted out of people, the sound of guts hitting pavement, all the detail put into the things like that just made me see it and hear it. It was almost like I was there to experience it in person. That is what I love about this book, and other Stephen King books.

I liked how the whole book started with a peaceful town on a lovely day whose habitants all lost their minds and turned insane by putting a cell phone up to their ears. That was very interesting to me, and I refused to talk on the phone for a couple of days, so I just texted instead. The book got better and better the more I kept reading. The way all the people who remained sane all had to go to the only safe zone left from all of the crazy phone people that seemed to enjoy ripping the sane people apart just seemed like the end of human civilization. In the book that is.

Of all the ways people died, I'd say that the most graphic ones were when Alice got hit by the brick which mutilated her face and she bled to death. The way the work lady with the dog had her throat ripped out by the teeth of another human. That is just not a good way to go. It was a good part of the book. It fit in with the whole scene well.

I know that it is highly unlikely to ever happen, but I still wondered if something like in thee novel could occur in real life. Then I thought realistically. It was still an amazing book. It is in the top five of my favorite books out of all 21 of them. It was my first Stephen King book that I ever read. I thought hat King was an amazing writer and had to read more of his books. So that is what I did. Stephen King books are my favorite books now all thanks to Cell.

Nice review. This is a good book by Mr. King although it ends kind of abruptly.
