Census Bureau Worker Found Hanged; FBI is Investigating
"Fed" was Written on the Body of the Census Bureau Worker
Ed O'Keefe has posted an article on The Washington Post's "Federal Eye" titled "Eye Opener: Census Worker Found Hanged."
The victim, 51-year-old Bill Sparkman, was a part-time census taker and a part-time teacher. He was found hanging in the Daniel Boone National Forest in southeast Kentucky.
Interestingly, an early piece of information provided was that Sparkman was white. I don't know what that would have to do with anything.
The actual cause of death is not known. It may not have been by hanging. If the person was battling against the government they are cowards because a census taker is hardly a representative "oppressor."
What could be the reasons that someone killed Bill Sparkman?
He might have hung himself as has been suggested. That would not have been the first time person denigrated their own body.
He could have run into a killer who put "fed" on his body just to confuse authorities.
He could have been, as liberals just couldn't wait to point and jump up and down and say, a victim of the coming conservative uprising.
He could have been a victim of liberals trying to stampede the country into believing conservatives are starting to go crazy.
He could have been, as suggested, the victim of a meth lab owner who had to shut him up.
Some minorities don't like to be "counted." There are a number of reasons for that. One is the capability of the government to double-check welfare numbers and taxation and they don't want the majority to know how large their numbers are.
These are all issues that have come up over the years.
In this case it is of interest that Sparkman was found hanged September 12th and it is just now emerging as news. The FBI is involved.
One other effect of this probable homicide is the census effort has been suspended.
Other than wondering why the fact Sparkman was white was brought up so early, I really don't have an idea or suggestion about this apparent crime.
I think we will find there are some unique aspects because it took so long for the news to come out.
I know that in the 1960s when race was such an issue, there would be killings that sometimes were because of the circumstances but also because one group was trying to create an aura of mistrust.
Also there were people like Charles Manson who thought they were in the middle of a race war with the aspects of a totalitarian government coming to the fore with Manson going to have power.
My point is that this is sad situation but it is either just that, a sad situation, or it is a situation that someone is trying to use to elicit social response.

Post a CommentI have l;ived in Clay Co. Ky. and know what it is like to be "not from around here." Being white has alot to do with how much differently this criume is seen. Being white means that more of a message is being sent. The government is constantly destroying marijuana feilds and anyone that has anything to do with the government is in danger and even more so if you are a person of color. Yes there is still a nineteenth century mindset there in southeastern KY.
Oh the irony.... the author criticizes those for doing precisely what he himself did.
