Experiencing the major amusement parks and Lake District of central Florida does not require lodging in a high-rise hotel building. Campgrounds in the Orlando area offer wide-open spaces, starry nights and a multitude of outdoor recreational attractions. Camping in the central region of the "Sunshine State" does not mean roughing it, by any stretch of the imagination. Site rental include access to electric and water hook-ups, as well as the facility dump station. Whether searching for a romantic escape or a family excursion, visitors to this Orlando area complex will find many activities from which to choose. A celebration of Florida's cowboy era comes to life with costumed actors on weekends. Cypress Campground and RV Park is within just a few blocks from Cypress Gardens Adventure Park and the Water Mania theme park. This camping resort features full electric and water hook-ups at each recreational vehicle rental site. After a day spent exploring the Orlando area, guests can float around the heated pool, or cozy up in the on-site library next to the fireplace. Resort amenities include shuffleboard, miniature golf, bocce ball and paved walking paths. The social hall features a kitchen, sewing and craft classes, nightly bingo games and special performance by amateur musicians. Campground services include propane sales, wireless Internet and cable television access. Staying clean is not a complicated task with the four on-site laundry facilities and bathhouses.
