The event is located at Columbus Music Hall, 734 Oak Street at the corner of Parsons Avenue.
Garrison Keillor
Wednesday at 7:30pm at the Ohio Theatre
Creator and host of the humorous old school NPR program "Prairie Home Companion" (which was recently turned into a feature film) Garrison Keillor spins his heartfelt stories of the Midwest in a special Valentine's Day treat.
Tickets range from $30 to $65 and can be purchased from Ticketmaster or through the Ohio Theatre Box Office at 614-469-0939. Box Office hours are Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturday 10am to 2pm and two hours prior to show.
Elvis fan? Check out All Shook Up February 13th to 18th, 2007. All shows are 8pm except Sunday (1pm and 6:30pm) at the Palace Theatre, 34 W. Broad St.
With choreography by Ken Roberson this musical tells the story of a small-town girl who dreams of hitting the open road, and the man who brings romance, rebellion and rock 'n' roll into her life. All Shook Up is a popular romantic comedy that mixes flair with 24 Elvis favorites including "Don't Be Cruel".
Tickets start at only $20 and go up to $62 which can be purchased from Ticketmaster or through the Ohio Theatre Box Office at 614-469-0939.
Does the thought of Valentine's Day make you want to see red? There's always a chance you'll see blood being drawn at a fist throwing, stick-wielding hockey game.
On February 14th, at 7pm, the Columbus Blue Jackets take on the St. Louis Blues at Nationwide Arena.
Tickets run a large range from $16 to $150. Also, 250 Huntington Green seats will go on sale for $10 beginning two hours prior to the start of each home game. Call 614-246-3350 for further details.
For something a little more romantic on this day of amore, BalletMet presents Rendezvous
at the Riffe: A Valentine Edition. The extraordinary program features a lovely piece highlighting couples like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, a brand new work by BalletMet Company dancer and Princess Grace Award recipient Jimmy Orrante, Blue set to the music of Vivaldi and the sensual There, below. Be one of the first 100 guests at the February 14 performance and receive one long stem rose for you or your sweetie. Also, at 7pm, before the February 14 performance, love letters that will touch your heart read will be read by Central Ohio personalities.
The show runs February 9th to the 17th with a 7:30pm showing on Valentine's Day. Order tickets by Feb. 1 and receive a free introductory ballroom class at the BalletMet Dance Academy. Offer open to adults 18 and up. Call Box Office for details at 614-229-4848.
