CES: The International Consumer Electronics Show Hosts Celebrity Electronics and People
Check Out the Big Names Scheduled to Be at This Years CES
Sports visitors include Nascar driver Kyle Bush representing the company Delphi, and other race car drivers Tanner Foust, and Stephan Papadakis representing Memphis Car Audio. All of the drivers will be at their respective companies booths helping them promote their new products for 2007.
The company Haier plans to have several famous NBA icons visit the show. Over a three day show stretch the company will have George Gervin, "The Iceman", Clyde "the Glide" Drexler, and Dominique Wilkens, "the Human Highlight Film" all available limited hours at their booth to make appearances.
Gibson Guitar also plans on having several guest celebrity appearances at the show. Announced performers include Jeff "Skunk" Baxter", Latin star Arthur Hanlon, and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. On Tuesday the company plans on having performers from Cirque de Soleil.
The band 3 Doors Down plans to make several performances while at the show. The band partnered with CES to promote the "Great Audio Experience" this year. The campaigns main goal is to educate consumers about their various audio equipment options, and help them select the right audio equipment for their needs.
Other scheduled celebrity guests at CES include Gene Simmons from KISS, model Teresa Noreen, George Benson and Al Jarreau, and the Humanoid Robot ASIMO.
CES is the largest trade show of its kind, hosting over 100,000 electronic manufacturers, journalists, and retailers. The show is organized by the Consumer Electronics Association, and virtually takes over Las Vegas every January with it's week long electronics event. This year marks the show's 40th anniversary, with the very first CES being held in New York City in 1967.
At CES, electronics manufacturers unveil their new products for 2007, and reveal new technology they have been working on to the press. Previously products unveiled at CES include the VCR, CD Player, Camcorder, Microsoft Xbox, and Plasma TV. Each year makes very big advancements in the world of consumer electronics, and brings journalists and exhibitors from around the world.
This years international show is being held January 8-11 and takes up all of the Las Vegas Convention Center, Sands/Venetian Convention Center, and several of the surrounding hotels.
