Chace Crawford is the new up and coming teenage heartthrob. With his recent win at the Teen Choice Awards as the Choice TV Breakout Star, his star is shooting right up to the top. Chace stars on the highly popular show Gossip Girl, which recently netted 14 nominations and six wins at the Teen Choice Awards.

Born Christopher Chace Crawford, Chace came into this world on July 18, 1985 in Lubbock, Texas. He grew up in Plano, a wealthy northern suburb of Dallas, Texas. In high school he played golf and was the football team quarterback. Although he worked as a model in Dallas, he didn't act until he moved to Malibu, California to attend college at Pepperdine University.

While in college, he had a hard time choosing a career. In his sophomore year, his mother encouraged him to study acting. The first agent to interview him signed him up, and Chace began devoting himself fully to acting studies.

Before he landed the role as Nate Archibald in Gossip Girl, Chace appeared in a number of films. His movie credits include "She Lived", "The Covenant", "Loaded", and the TV movie "Long Lost Son". He also stars in "The Haunting of Molly Hartley", a horror film to be released in October, 2008.

Chace currently lives in New York City, where Gossip Girl is filmed. He says he loves the "energy" of the City.
