Chace Crawford: Returning for Another Season on Gossip Girl

The world according to CW network's Gossip Girl hottie Chace Crawford might be more for the history books rather than mere tabloid magazines if the recent months are anything to go by. Crawford has noticeably been missing from Gossip Girl's fourth season just as the TV series heated up in February 2011. The 25-year old star is believed to have spent the good part of the year since focusing on his personal life in pursuit of true love. The latest Gossip Girl rumor is that Crawford may be written out of CW's popular TV series and will not return for another season.

Other popular Gossip Girl stars already confirmed to not be returning to the hot TV series in the fall are Jesse Szohr and Taylor Momsen. Since January, he has made as few as three public appearances this year including the 2011 Golden Globes. Not long after his Globe appearance, rumors that the sexiest man on TV romantically linked to a Hollywood wallflower or two surfaced. These rumors fell flat rapidly as Crawford immediately squashed the rumors himself. In spite keeping his personal life very guarded from the media, the Hollywood hunk is rumored to be madly in love and perhaps married to long-term love interest he's been secretly dating since last summer. Gossip Girl co-star Penn Bagdley says that while the two Gossip Girl actors were no longer close he was aware that Crawford was committed and deeply in love.
