Chaco Sandals: for the Brave and the Safe

Thembeka
I bought my pair of Chaco's due to a friend's recommendation in preparation for a three-month trip to the Eastern Cape of South Africa. I wore these sandals every day in this hot and dry land without complaint. Their thick soles, good tread, and adjustable strap enabled me to clamber around mountains, wade through streams, and walk down dusty roads in comfort and safety. Since then, my Chaco's have accompanied me on city streets, while climbing waterfalls, even on horseback. They travel with me wherever I go. The company slogan: "Chaco fits your adventure and attitude" describes perfectly the way that every Chaco owner I know has felt while wearing her sandals.

Chaco's come in a variety of colors and styles, depending on what the next adventure withholds. My particular pair of sandals is the women's Z1 in black - great for the escapades and exploits that I love to pursue. The open toe leaves room for sock-wearing if it gets chilly, and the single strap that adjusts within the sole allows for different levels of comfort and protection. While simply walking down the street, I can have plenty of breathing room without pulling the strap tightly, but if climbing around in a rushing stream or on a rocky surface, I can fit my feet snugly inside the sandals without fear of slipping or sliding around. The tread grabs on to any substance, giving sturdy footing in times of possible tumble. Chaco sandals are waterproof, enabling me to participate in one of my favorite activities - jumping in and out of any body of water I might come across. An added bonus - the material of the strap is polyester webbing which molds to the shape of the foot in all conditions and dries quickly.

Not only are Chaco's comfortable to wear, but they are also healthier for the body. Their BioCentric footbed forces the wearer to walk more appropriately through strong arch support and intense focus on the foot's natural way of correctly supporting the body. It is relieving to find a company that creates sandals based on the natural actions and capabilities of the feet. Even while suffering from the foot pains of pregnancy, I have worn my Chaco's through crags and crests, and I have only discovered comfort along the way.

Not only created for the adventurous, Chaco also makes sandals for everyday wear, utilizing the same techniques and focus on support and foot care. Combining style with strength, these sandals are worth every penny.
