The NFL has a rule that prohibits the use of cell phones or other handheld devices in the bench area during games. On Ochocinco's twitter feed, he posted a message saying: "Damn NFL and these rules, I am going by my own set of rules, I ain't hurting nobody or getting in trouble, I am putting my foot down!!". In a later quote, Ochocinco said: "When I say I'm going to do something, I'm going to do it, regardless of what they say." It should be interested how all of this will play out and if NFL will abide by their rules or let Ochocinco be the exception.
Chad Ochocinco currently has over 63,000 followers, and has over 4,200 updates on Twitter. He isn't the most popular Twitterer, but is the biggest Twitter fanatic athlete, in all of sports. Ochocinco has said that he couldn't dream without living with Twitter and usually posts about 100 updates a day. Chances are that he is currently on Twitter this minute.
Before Johnson became known as Ochocinco, he was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft. It was not until his second and third NFL seasons that Ochocinco became a star. He had a career high ten touchdowns in his third season. In eight seasons with the Bengals, Ochocinco has 8,905 total yards, 612 receptions, and 53 touchdowns. There were trade talks with Ochocinco after the 2007 and 2008 seasons but nothing surfaced. The Bengals are the only pro team that Johnson was ever on. Ochocinco is signed through the 2011 season. Ochocinco has been selected to the Pro Bowl five times (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007). Ochocinco has said that this upcoming season will be the best one in his career.
Ochocinco is known for going over the top with his antics and getting in trouble with the NFL. Ochocinco is known for his over-the-top touchdown celebrations. A few years ago, after scoring a touchdown, he grabbed a jacket that resembles the Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees' jacket, that said on the back "Future H.o.F 20??".
