Chad Varga, If You Only Knew I woke yesterday with what I can only describe as what I think swallowing razor blades might feel like. As the day progressed a slight fever and headache followed. To say my schedule was slightly rearranged would be correct. I had planned to spend the entire day editing.
My girlfriend called offering to drop off "the book" I showed interest in reading.
Chad Varga entered the picture. I spent the day getting to know all about this young man's life.
From the first page of his book, "If You Only Knew" I was hooked. I read with tears in my eyes what this "child" endured. He shared his life growing up with a Mother was was hooked on both drugs and alcohol.
It seemed fitting that just a day or so ago I wrote about teenagers who complain about "nothing". Ones who have not lived with abuse. They need to walk in Chad's shoes.
This man shares his love of the Lord. He explains how the Holy Spirit moved time after time in his life.
If you haven't read this book I highly recommend it. Whether you grew up with a Mother who was an addict, or perhaps a Father who was an addict, or if your life was less than perfect, Chad shares, if he could do it, so can you.
His love of the Lord is contagious. What a blessing reading his book is. I'm praying for his ministry. I'm praying for him. Let me know if you've heard him speak.
What an inspiration you are to me Chad Varga.

His story sounds interesting. Just shows you how strong God's power is even in the midst of difficult circumstances. I'll have to include this on my reading list too.
