Chai Thai Cuisine located at 14035 SE Stark Street, Portland Oregon is top on the list for the city. Owner joy Sinviengxay can be found serving customers and chatting about her home land of Thailand almost every day of the week. Meals prepared by Chef Suraphol Sanghuad are delicious and his love of his countries cuisine is in every bite the customer takes.
Chai Thai Cuisine is a small restaurant with only 4 tables and a counter area with approximately 10 seats at the counter. Once the customer's order is taken Chef Sanghuad prepares each dish individually with fresh meats, vegetables and fruits, taking great care to make them authentic in every way.
Customers can order appetizers from $4.00 to $12.00 a plate making their selections from items such as Spring Rolls, Shrimp Rolls, Chicken Satay, Pot Stickers, and a sampler platter which includes all of the appetizer items.
Soup choices are Tom Yum, Tom Kha, Tofu Soup, and Wonton Soup all priced at $9.00 with chicken, pork, beef and if the customer chooses shrimp or squid the price is $10.00 and with Seafood combo $12.00.
Salad is Beef Salad, Larb; Yum Talay (Seafood Salad); all ranging from $6.00 to $12.00 per dish and served with the freshest of ingredients. At Chai Thai the customer can order Stir Fried Pad Ka-Prow, Sweet & Sour, Garlic & Pepper and include chicken, pork, beef, shrimp or squid with the price range also $9.00 to $12.00 per dish.
Rice dishes include, Chai Thai Fried Rice, Hot Basil Fried Rice (Evil Meeting) and Pineapple Fried Rice, adding ingredients such as chicken, pork, beef or shrimp or squid with the price take of $9.00 to $12.00 also.
At Chai Thai Cuisine customers find curry dishes such as Red Curry, Green Curry, Yellow Curry, Mussaman Curry, Panang Curry and Pineapple Curry all made from fresh ingredients of potatoes, carrots, onions, and much more.
Noodles on the menu include Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao (Drunkin Noodles), and Pad Se Ew, just to name a few items on the menu. House specialties are roast Duck Curry $11.00, Lemon Grass Chicken $10.00, Pohang $12.00, Pad Phet Catfish $12.00. For a drink with your meal there is always the usual soda and tea or you can choose Coconut Juice, Mango juice and Thai Ice Coffee $2.00 a cup/glass.
After eating your meal if there is still room for dessert then try their great tasting Coconut Ice ream $3.50 or Mango with Sticky Rice $5.50. Both are a great ending to a wonderful meal.
