John Denver
high nickname and lows -
mountain roads, home, sunshine gone ...

Annie Martel and John may be lovers always, despite their divorce in 1983 & his death in 1997. A combination of alcohol, depression, infertility and violence damages any love. They adopted two children. He had a natural-born daughter via another marriage.

Post a CommentI still can't believe such a sweet songster .. is gone; but the music is fresh and alive...as are his fans. Thanks Patricia/3lilangels
really cool haiku for John!
John Smither, Cathy A. Montville, Sandra Essary & Bonnie Stanford - so John Denver brings us groupies closer, from all that distance. If not for his celestial music, then for his humanitarian work in later years, he ought to be in Paradise. Cathy that documentary on PBS must be a re-run from some years back - I loved it too. Here's to Country Roads and Rocky Mountain High! Shalom/Songs of Peace to you and your's dear readers and friends.
Great haiku, in tribute to John Denver!
Oh...I love this! Terrific and I, too, loved John Denver! In fact, my husband and I just watched a PBS show about him the other night! :)
John Denver has made a positive impact on my life. His death was so tragic. Thanks for this haiku!
I like John Denver too. His death was so avoidable - so tragic - as was much of his life. Every time I eat grape nuts or drive down a dirt road I babble the words, "Thank God I'm a Country Boy..." (even though I'm a girl).
