If you have blond hair and would like to try to lighten your hair you can use chamomile to lighten your hair. You can buy chamomile at health food stores or you can get chamomile tea in a grocery store. Chamomile tea works great to make chamomile lightening rinse. When you make this chamomile hair lightener make sure you use an enamelware pot rather then one of aluminum or iron. Metal can have an adverse effect on the chamomile lightening rinse since it creates a chemical reaction with the metal.

For a chamomile hair lightening rinse gently heat a pot of two cups of water and add a cup of chamomile flowers to the water when it gets hot. Let the water with the chamomile boil for thirty minutes but do not let the mixture get to a full boil. Set the mixture aside for a few hours and let it cool. After the mixture has cooled then take a strainer and strain the chamomile and water into a clean container. It is best to use a nylon or plastic strainer with you strain your chamomile hair lightener. Using a metal strainer can make the chamomile lightener less affective and possibly make your hair a color.

Wash your hair as you normally would and rinse it like you would too. Then take your chamomile mixture and slowly poor it through your hair. While you pour the chamomile mixture through your hair catch the chamomile mixture as it falls off your hair in another container. Then pour the chamomile mixture you have caught through your hair again and catch it again. Do this a few times. The lightening effect will increase if you let your hair dry in the sunshine. Use chamomile rinse regularly to lighten your blond hair.

Chamomile hair lightening rinse can be stored in an airtight container for a week. Chamomile can be an inexpensive hair lightener for blonds.

Chamomile always has worked for me! I find that it's more effective if you use a hair clarifier before to remove shampoo buildup...then the chamomile is even better! Leaves my hair soft and smelling yummy!
