Chanakara: Tea for Your Soul

S. B.
There are tons of teas available that can give you the great tasting flavors you love. There are even teas available that offer health benefits (ex. green tea). But when was the last time that you ran across a set of teas that advertise the ability to affect your seven chakras? If you've never heard of this type of tea then here is your introduction to Chánakára teas, which were specifically blended to benefit your chakras. Interested in learning more? Read on!

What are Chánakára Teas?

Chánakára Teas were designed to balance, tune and energize one of your seven chakras depending which tea you drink. What are chakras, you ask? Chakra means "wheel" and refers to the centers of energy in our bodies and consciousness that govern our mental and physical state of being. Each chakra is local in a different section of the center of your body from the crown of the head to the base of the spine. Because each chakra is associated with a different form of healing, each Chánakára tea is said to help foster healing for its particular chakra based on the ingredients used.

Seven Flavors for Seven Chakras

Chánakára teas come in seven flavors blended specifically to cater to your seven chakras. Below are the seven unique flavors they offer:

Red Berry Rooibos - Red Berry Rooibos was created for the first chakra, which is also known as the Muladhara Chakra. This chakra is located at the base of your spine and is associated abundance, grounding, and the color red (hence the red in the tea). Red Berry Rooibos tea is said to enhance health and prosperity by nurturing this chakra, and comes with a blend of organic rooibos, rosehips, hibiscus, raspberry leaf, and other natural ingredients.

Dragonfruit - Dragonfruit is said to foster passion and creativity in your second chakra, also known as your Svadhisthana Chakra. Ingredients found in this flavor include hibiscus flowers, orange peel, ginger, peppermint, chicory, damiana, and natural dragonfruit flavor.

Vanilla Honeybush - Vanilla Honeybush is created from a blend of organic honeybush, orange peel, safflower, gotu kola, and natural honey vanilla flavor. This tea nutures your Manipura Chakra and helps gather strength and power for your everyday life.

Melon & Green - Melon and Green tea works with your fourth chakra, also known as the Anahata Chakra. It is located at the level of your heart and is associated with the color green, air, love and compassion. When drinking their Melon and Green tea, you are said to create love and harmony within yourself. The ingredients that go into this tea blend include organic green tea, orange peel, yerba mate, and natural melon flavor.

Blue Ginger - Blue Ginger actually creates blue tea in your cup due to the ginger root and blue malva flowers. But it also has a really tasty flavor and is said to work on the Visuddha Chakra, nurturing expression and resonance.

Guanabana - Guanabana was blended with hibiscus flowers, orange peel, lemongrass, eyebright, bilberry, and other natural flavors to work with your Ajna Chakra in improving your imagination and insight.

White Lotus - White Lotus, another great tasting flavor, is said to help improve meditation and wisdom by working with your seventh chakra, The Sahasrana, located at the crown of your head. The ingredients blended for this tea include chamomile flowers, chrysanthemum flowers, lotus flowers and linden flowers.

I have been drinking Chánakára teas for over two years and truly enjoy the flavors and soothing calm they bring. My favorite flavors are Vanilla Honeybush and Red Berry Rooibos, however they all offer distinctive flavors that make you want the tea more than the benefits they may bring. So if you're looking for some tea that may bring you a spiritual kick, try Chánakára teas. You may really enjoy them!
