Many people in today's world are concerned with their physical image, health, or diet. Some want to improve their health. Some want to find a way to eat healthier, and others want to find a way to cut calories to loose weight.

One of the biggest frets I hear about diets, or changing eating habits, is:

"diet food tastes like crap"
"I can't stick to a diet".

What you don't realize is, you can still eat what you want, but it's all about how it's prepared. For all of you lucky readers, who fall into any of these categories, here are some useful tips and ideas to help you succeed your goals.

1) Be careful when eating out
Whether it's fast food or it's at a restaurant, usually it's hard to tell how it's prepared, or how many calories your item really has. Try to choose the most healthy item on the menu, or avoid eating out all together.

a) Salads are usually a safe bet, as well as white meats.
b) Although tuna may seem like a safe choice, it is usually packed full of fattening mayonnaise, which can carry a hefty punch in the calorie department.
c) Try to have your order cooked to your specially for you.
d) Substitute those unhealthier sides for something healthier. I.E. Knock off those french fries for something green.
e) Always try to avoid fried food.
f) Most places bring out bread before dinner. Limit your intake or skip it all together.
g) Be cautious of sauces and oils.
h) Avoiding fast food chains all together, is your safest bet of all.
i) Look for a section of the menu dedicated to healthier eating.

Avoiding you intake of fired foods is going to help you tremendously. Fried foods carry an enormous amount of fat and calories. Not to mention the extremely bad health effects it has on your arteries. Here is a good example, most fried foods are fried in oil. Most oil has a content on 120 calories of fat per tables spoon.
You can do the math on this one. Skip the fried food at all costs.

Instead...

Baking, grilling, broiling, roasting, or sauteing your food is going to be a lot healthier for you. It will help reduce the overall fat content of meats you cook, and it can still be just as tasty.
