I
It used to be,
whites only,
no blacks,
if you don't want attacks.
II
Whites here,
black there,
properly segregated,
confusion avoided.
III
Times change,
since the day,
Martin Luther,
have his say.
IV
Society now is color blind,
everybody's citizenship is mankind,
nobody is now banned,
due to being overly tanned.
V

whites learn with blacks,
and in the house of white,
will soon reside a black.

Post a CommentThis is an interesting piece regarding the presidency and affairs of the world today. I have not yet heard it portrayed in such a simple way. I love the photograph you have chosen for this and I must admit I am thrilled about Obama being elected. This is a great step for our nation and a huge historical moment in time that has been overdue for so long now. I am proud to witness this history of change in society today.
