There comes a time in everybody's career and working life when you just want a change. A change in career can bring about a new way of life, not to mention new opportunities. However, changing your career isn't as always as easy as it seems. There are many things you need to take into account, such as experience, change in working hours, and change in your routine to name but a few.   • 1. Canvass your local job market, and don't be afraid to look further afield. Even in times of recession there are vacancies out there all you have to do is look harder than normal.
  • 2. Get your CV/Resume professionally updated. Sometimes it's very hard to write down all your experiences and qualifications on one page and this is when a professional writer comes in handy. Utilise their knowledge and experience to get your CV/resume looking flawless.
  • 3. Consider doing an apprenticeship/internship. Sometimes, to get that career you want you have to start again at the bottom of the ladder.
  • 4. Get feedback. Whenever you attend an interview always ask for feedback. If you never get feedback then how are you going to know how and where you can improve?
