However, changing your career isn't as always as easy as it seems. - 1. Canvass your local job market, and don't be afraid to look further afield. Even in times of recession there are vacancies out there all you have to do is look harder than normal.

- 3. Consider doing an apprenticeship/internship. Sometimes, to get that career you want you have to start again at the bottom of the ladder.
