Many people feel incomplete, lost or worse as they are stuck in a giant machine feeling that there is no value to their lives. Completely changing one's lifestyle can be beneficial, not only to the individual, but to the people the individual interacts with on a regular basis.
Change should usually be regarded in the positive, because that is what life is about. Our bodies change, our appearance changes, weather changes and without change people get stuck. Even celebrities will branch out into other interests when they realize a change is needed, and they are taking a risk just like anyone else.
Lifestyle changes can change the mental and physical characteristics of an individual.
When a person is miserable, it means that they are not leading a balanced life. People who are consistently unhappy can also manifest that unhappiness in physical illnesses from headaches to ulcers or worse. The mind is a powerful thing. People who change their lifestyle make a commitment for major change.
Some make a commitment to change what they eat, choosing a healthier fare. The body is getting more of the vitamins and nutrients it requires to function at its best, which also aids in the emotional aspect because the mind and body are linked. What happens to one affects the other and unfortunately some people tend to forget this.
Some even go so far as to quit their jobs and either, find a profession that they love to do, or go back to school for a degree so that they can pursue the profession they love.
Leaving an unfit job can also help those interacting with the person as well. When they go home to their family, they are no longer as moody and tired and are, therefore, able to spend more positive time with those they love. A person should love what they do for a living, especially since it usually takes up a large part of their daily life. People can completely change their character; becoming more open, vibrant, and happy.
They also find recreational time as well as time for themselves, so they get the necessary balance needed to feel whole. The changes will also be noticeable, since other people will see that the individual looks healthier. The change may not be able to be pinpointed in the outward appearance, but they will still try and search for something physical. They will question whether or not the person got a haircut, lost weight and so on in search for that elusive physical change.
What they are looking for is hard to find because it begins with something inner, a willingness and determination to change. When people are happy with who they are and what they do, it simply shows.
Changing a lifestyle can change the individual on an emotional and physical level to such a degree that they can even become another person. Perhaps even the person they always wanted to be but never had the courage to let it surface.
