In short sometimes we just find we have to change our minds about a particular subject, person or theme.
As a normal part of growing older we will normally see things from a different perspective than when we were younger. Most people will learn though life experiences. Although some may be slower to learn some things than others, and some may just have a hard time.
People change their minds about things all the time. This can be a good thing or it not depending on the subject matter at hand. For example someone may think its ok to not wear a seat belt, but after an accident or death of a friend or loved one, who may have lived if they had worn a seat belt, someone may change their mind. Others though may not change their minds fully, until they have had several tickets for not wearing a seat belt.
Now tickets may or may not change someone's mind about seat belts, however the tickets may make the wallet so sore as to cause someone to decide it is very much unprofitable to continue collecting tickets.
As a general rule, life causes us to see things differently as we age. The things that come into our lives may give us a different perspective on many things. For example we may feel anyone who wishes to be employed can just go get a job, however, when we find ourselves unemployed and no one hiring for the skills we possess, the canary sings a different tune, especially if this goes on for a long period of time.
Life has a way of helping us see another's point of view, if we are wise we will learn compassion for others as various things come into our lives. If we are not we may find ourselves falling into the dregs of self-pity at times that is unprofitable and leads to depression.
Sometimes we just need to change our mind about something in order to preserve our own sanity.
Changing our mind about those who come into our lives may come slowly, but as we take time to get to know someone the assumptions we may have made, will begin to fade. Especially if the assumptions that we have are based on someone else's opinion, of a particular person or situation, it is best to try to remember, that though we may meet many people, see many things, and believe with a certainty that we know best, it is wise to remember only one pair of feet will fit into any pair of shoes at a time.
We all walk alone, even as we walk arm in arm. Compassion towards others is something that we should always encourage, in ourselves and others. We can do this as we remember the shoes another wears can only be filled by them alone.
The best change anyone can ever make is to be more compassionate towards others every day. Because we do not know the load of burden another may be carrying --
