Channing Tatum began his career as a male model for companies like Armani and Abercrombie and Fitch. He made his movie debut in 2005 in Coach Carter alongside Samuel L. Jackson. Coach Carter was not a hit but it made $77 million at the box office which was well above its budget of $30 million.

The movie launched Channing Tatum's career. He currently stars in the romantic comedy The Dilemma with Vince Vaughn, Kevin James, Jennifer Connelly and Winona Ryder.

Ron Howard directed The Dilemma and had to get sexually physical with Channing Tatum to show him how he wanted a scene with Winona Ryder filmed.

So far in his movie career Channing Tatum has been in 11 movies and four of them have made over $100 million dollars. Overall the movies he has been in have made far more money they cost to make but he has been in a few flops too.

1. G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009) - $302 million

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra had a huge budget of $175 million and made it all back and then some. This is Channing Tatum's biggest box office movie to date.

2. Public Enemies (2009) - $214 million

The great Johnny Depp stars as John Dillenger in Public Enemies. Channing Tatum co-stars at Pretty Boy Floyd. Also in the film are Christian Bale, Billy Crudup and Giovanni Ribisi.

3. Dear John (2010) - $115 million

With a $25 million budget the romantic drama Dear John did well at the box office as Channing Tatum starred with Amanda Seyfried.

4. Step Up (2006) - $114 million

Channing Tatum starred in the chick flick Step Up which had a budget of $12 million. The film was such a success that it spawned 3 sequels but Channing Tatum only starred in the first one.

1. Battle in Seattle (2008) - $909,000

With Woody Harrelson, Ray Liotta, Michelle Rodriguez and the beautiful and talented Charlize Theron who was incredible in Monster.

2. A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints (2006) - $2 million

With Robert Downey, Jr, Shia LaBeouf and Rosario Dawson.

3. Supercross (2005) - $3.3 million

4. Stop-Loss (2008) - $11.2 million

The aptly named Stop-Loss was a big flop at the box office as it cost $25 million and made just $11.2 million.
