MY FIRST TRUE "STEAK" EXPIRIENCE
I decided that since the Chaparral would have the hardest time convincing me of their AAA Four-Diamond rating with the steak, that would be my meal. Man was that a mistake (in the case of my logic anyway).
WOW! I can honestly say that I am now a true cliché Texas male...steak and all. I ordered the eight-ounce Filet Mignon because I figured I would not like it anyway with my history with steak. Boy was that a mistake. I have never had a steak melt in my mouth like the one I had that night. I could have eaten more...MUCH MORE!
Joining my lovely steak with my meal was a side of garlic mashed potatoes (without a lump to be found) and a side of steamed broccoli. The entire meal alone was worth the AAA Four-Diamond rating the Chaparral Restaurant was recently granted. Moreover, I have not even touched on the ambience.
THE "FEEL" OF THE MEAL
As I said earlier, I am a cliché Texas male. So, when it comes to fancy restaurants, I am usually taken aback by the price alone. However, sitting high atop the Adams Mark Hotel, the ambience created by the beautiful skyline views from the 38th floor was enough to make a believer out of me. The "feel" of the meal (combined with the meal itself of course) made convinced me to spend more time in actual restaurants as opposed to the fast-food diet I had become accustomed.
Do you want to impress a business client? The Chaparral is the place. Do you want to impress your first date? The Chaparral will do that as well. Do you want to make sure your fiancé says yes when you pop the question? I cannot even fathom the woman who would say no if proposed to at the Chaparral. To put it simply, the Chaparral is the restaurant for you if the purpose is to impress.
