Dining with the Princesses Step by Step

Jenny Sperandeo
Cinderella's Royal Table is the ultimate dining experience if you have a little girl in your party. Here, she can dress up as her favorite princess, enjoy a delicious meal, complete with dessert, participate in the "Wishing Ceremony", and spend one on one time with all the princesses in attendance. She will have the opportunity to meet Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, Ariel, Aurora, and Jasmin. The Fairy Godmother is known to make an appearance from time to time as well.

Your adventure begins soon after checking in. You are escorted to the Castle's parlor, where you are greeted by Cinderella and pose for pictures. This picture is included in the cost of your meal, and will be handed out to you while you are dining. Be on the look out for Jaq and Gus, Cinderella's mice friends, they are hiding in the rafters of the parlor.

You are then escorted upstairs, to the main dining hall and seated. The hall is very lavish, and offers views of Fantasyland. You place drink and food orders, and the announcements for the individual princesses begin. One at a time they make their grand entrance, and then proceed to visit each table. They will pose for pictures and sign autographs for guests. They are all gracious and kind.

You are served a Medieval banquet. Adults and children are served an appetizer, entree, and dessert. Choices include salmon, roasted chicken, and pork tenderloin for the adults, and hot dogs, chicken nuggets, and beefy macaroni for the kids. Breakfast and lunch are also served daily.

While you are dining, there is a "Wishing Ceremony" that takes place. The lights dim, and magic fills the air. Children are given wands if they are girls, and swords if they are boys. They are asked to raise them, and make a wish. But, don't tell, or your wish will not come true.

Reservations for this meal can be made 180 days in advance if you are an onsite guest. Payment is due in full at the time of booking. Characters are subject to change. Make reservations by calling (407)WDW-DINE, or go to www.disneyworld.com and click on Disney Dining.

I have had the pleasure of attending this meal twice, most recently this past July 2010. It lived up to all my expectations.
