Charice Pempengco: Glee Star, Singer, Gets Botox at Age 18

US Magazine Reports that Pempengco Didn't Get Botox to Make Her Face More Narrow

Charice Pempengco is the Filipino beauty who has not only amazing vocal talent, but is also a star of the hit series, "Glee." The TV star has recently been in the media because she got...get this...botox. I haven't been so shocked about a plastic surgery confession since it became known that Heidi Montag totally re-did her body last fall.

The ordeal makes me wonder what it is about Hollywood that makes these beautiful young women like Charice Pempengco and Heidi Montag go under the knife/needle. There is constant pressure to stay youthful and sexy, and it appears as if the pressure is hitting women at younger and younger ages.

I am almost ten years older than Charice Pempengco and I have never, ever thought of getting botox. And I have wrinkles.

The girl's rep told US Weekly that the reason that her client got the treatment was to relieve a jaw disorder similar to TMJ. This is a very painful disorder that makes it hard to move you jaw, talk, or eat.

A celebrity plastic surgeon states that Pempengco wanted to make her naturally round face appear more narrow just in time for the premiere of "Glee." Which one sounds more legit?

Looking at quite a few different photos of the actress/singer I couldn't find anything wrong with her that would warrant such a drastic measure. We all know that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and that we are our own worst critics...but I just can't see where she would think there's anything wrong.

Raised by a single mother, American talk show host Ellen Degeneres is credited with giving her the big break she needed. She sang in local contests in the Philippines until landing a slot on Ellen at the age of 15.

Even though we made a comparison to Heidi Montag earlier, Pempengco's botox is a far cry from the laundry list of procedures undergone by the "Hills" star. It's about as subtle as you can get with the whole "cosmetic procedures" scene.

Many worry that the Glee star getting Botox will make it so that those younger girls looking up to her desire the same drastic measure. However, it is very well possible that the star got the treatment in order to relieve the pressure caused by a jaw disorder.

are you writing this article so you can publish gossip? you take sound bites and insert them into your story to make them sound real. take a chill pill and wait for facts before jumping to conclusions. it looks like you need a facelift in your publishing of this article.

@Shanon She was NOT asked by the Glee producers to get botox. She was hired before being on Glee. She got this procedures in the Philippines.

She was ASKED to get botox by the Glee producers because they felt that her face was "too round". Which is utter bullshit, by the way. Beautiful people come in all different shapes and sizes, and she is certainly gorgeous.
