Charisma Shadow II

Angie Grey
Much too bright this shadow
This charisma is conjured.
It makes me seem
Contrived, at best
This party night.
The invisible man pours
A glass of punch for himself
While I wave at people.

This ecliptical shell
Makes me invisible as well.
Nobody can see
The tormented, logical me.
To avoid the instant
"You, I like"
That happens to quickly
To be natural
This conjecture
Makes me feel lame
This charisma shadow
Must be to blame.

The shadow itself is thick
Like a metaphysical brick
A warning label, I now need
Charisma is difficult, indeed.
I've always been so logical
Though, without much of a brain -
The quick fix of the purple quark
Looked so appealing.
A thick sky black shadow around
Like stage makeup, not so
Attractive close-up.
