Charlie Brown's Steakhouse In Washington Township, New Jersey

Very often as a child, my parents enjoyed going out to eat as a family on Saturdays. We spent many of those Saturday nights chowing down at the Charlie Brown's Steakhouse in Washington Township, New Jersey located at 95 Linwood Avenue and Highland Avenue. Charlie Brown's is the largest restaurant chain in New Jersey, and being that I am from Jersey, there are quite a few locations in various towns close to where I live.

I have been to about three different Charlie Brown's, and I enjoyed the atmosphere and food in every single one of them. Since Charlie Brown's is a steakhouse, they specialize in delicious grilled steaks. They offer the highest quality USDA Choice beef available as well as a variety of other entrees. They have seafood, pasta, chicken fingers, stuffed chicken, soups, salads, etc. They also offer a variety of delicious appetizers, soups, desserts and alcoholic drinks. In fact, every Tuesday is their $1.50 margarita special. Included on the specialty drink menu is also a variety of non-alcoholic refreshing smoothies and fountain drinks too.

Perhaps my favorite feature of Charlie Brown's is their huge salad bar. There is always an abundance of ingredients for you to create a salad very specifically to your liking. Everything is always very fresh and delicious. They not only offer the usual toppings, but various types of bread and pasta salads as well. There is always a big basket of fresh pumpernickel, raisin nut, and white bread.

At each location I have visited, I have also experienced very fast, friendly, and efficient service. The food always arrives within a very reasonable amount of time and empty plates are always cleared within minutes, if not seconds, after you are finished.

Charlie Brown's also offers a free membership to their "Handshake Club." As a member of this club, you receive ten dollars towards any Charlie Brown's location every year on your birthday plus other perks such as twenty dollars in gift vouchers for every 300 points you earn. The Handshake Club is a great way to earn money towards what could become one of your family's favorite restaurants. You cannot go wrong signing up in my opinion. It is free after all!

Overall, if you are looking for a nice place to eat with family or friends, you cannot go wrong with Charlie Brown's. There is something on the menu for every member of the family, no matter how old or picky they are. You will get your money's worth and will go home feeling full and content!
