Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller: Battle for the Worst Parent

Lisa Mason
A judge ruled that Brooke Mueller was the lesser of two evils when it came to the custody war between her and twins' father, Charlie Sheen by not awarding Sheen full custody as he had requested. The previous custody arrangements struck last month will remain in effect.

So while Judge Goldberg agrees, along with the rest of us, that neither will win any Parent of the Year awards, he denied Sheen's request to strip Bob and Max's mother Brooke of custody and give him full and legal custody.

What do you think; who's the worst parent here?

While Brooke fell off the wagon last week, can you really blame her? With all the baby-daddy-drama Charlie's sending her way, it's not completely surprising that she might have a slip-up along the way. But does that really compare to the disaster that is Charlie Sheen?

Reportedly, Judge Hank Goldberg was aware of Brooke's relapse into drug use but was more troubled by Sheen's proud substance abuse issue. Apparently publicly bragging about your use of drugs and alcohol doesn't help you win a custody battle. Who would've guessed it?

The judge also felt that Sheen's parenting skills- or perhaps lack of skills- did not give him any reason to change the custody arrangements at this time. Personally, we don't see Charlie trying to clean up his act any time soon. He's having too much fun to care about what's right for his boys.

While the Judge reportedly felt that both parents had problems, he believed the twins to be adequately protected by relatives, nannies and other support staff in the family's lives. So it's ok to be a terrible parent as long as you can afford enough sober (we hope) staff to care for your kids?

Right on, Charlie and Brooke!
