Charlie Sheen Fired? What a Complete Shocker!

Charlie Sheen fired? You have to be kidding, right? You can't seriously fire the guy who is "winning?"
What an absolute shocker! Less than 30 minutes ago, TMZ posted this story with a headline that read "Warner Bros. to Charlie Sheen: You're Fired!" Waiting to see the Charlie Sheen reaction might be worth its weight in gold now. How will the guy who hasn't been afraid to speak his mind address the most recent developments? Did Charlie Sheen expect not to be fired? Or was he just waiting for the bomb to drop before he officially replied?

I'm not one of those people that ever roots for someone to fail. In fact, Charlie Sheen will probably spin this whole getting "fired" issue the same way he has spun every other single aspect of his life lately. He'll emerge victorious because he is ultimately "winning," right? The guy was extremely vocal about his bosses and it seems they are finally ready to part ways and pull the plug on the Charlie Sheen experiment. Although it was more than just an experiment-before Charlie Sheen was fired "Two and a half Men" was the top rated comedy on network television. That has to stand for something? Or does it?

Has Charlie Sheen washed away all the "good" he did with some of the recent "bad?" Or is he slowly connecting the dots for a future stint in reality television land? I tend to think Charlie Sheen will find a job-but it may take a little while considering he appears to be just a bit difficult to work with. But somebody somewhere will give the guy an opportunity and it seems more than likely that reality television might be the first of many of those opportunities. He just needs to close his mouth and get back to work-if he truly wants to continue his career. Being so vocal might have landed Sheen several million Twitter followers, but it hasn't accomplished a lot in putting Sheen back in good graces in Hollywood.

But if Charlie Sheen dug his own grave, he is completely capable of pulling himself out of this mess. I don't even think he has to say he is sorry. Sheen just needs to move past this and quit doing interviews and trying to be so odd. He can resurrect his career by just going back to work and zipping it. Some might say he already has increased his value by adding 2 million followers on his Twitter account. When word spreads that Charlie Sheen has been fired, his followers will most likely be on standby to see his reply. His Twitter account may grow to 3 or 4 million followers. That kind of following is hard to deny. The guy is definitely marketable. But who wants to market somebody who has inherited this image of being arrogant and selfish? Right or wrong, Sheen is going to probably be put on the back burner for a few months. It seems unlikely he'll be landing a job in the near future considering the troubles he has presented to us on a such a wide public scale. But who knows? Someone will want to tap into that energy and following-there's "gold in them hills", right?

The Sheen twitter account hasn't addressed the latest story from TMZ that Sheen got canned from "Two and a half Men." To many, this "Charlie Sheen getting fired" event was a foregone conclusion. Maybe Sheen somehow figured he could work it out and return to the show-but that seems completely unlikely considering the events of today. But can you ever really say never? Crazier things have happened. But Charlie Sheen returning to "Two and a Half Men" certainly would be an eye opener now or in the future. CBS and Warner Brothers apparently have no desire to work it out or be associated with Sheen. I applaud them for taking a bit of a stand against a guy who hasn't exactly been good publicity for the network. "Two and Half Men" may go on with or without a replacement-but the show will inevitably be canceled even if it receives a small boost in the short term from all this publicity.
And Sheen will probably be sitting home, with his loads of cash, still griping about the whole ordeal on his live nightly webcast.
