Charlie Sheen Fired from 'Two and a Half Men,' Warner Bros. Now 'Winning'
The Latest Chapter of the Self-proclaimed "Warlock's" Life
The self-proclaimed "Warlock" seemed to be pleased about the news of being fired; in an official statement to TMZ, the actor stated: "This is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of their bazillions, never have to look at whatshis[censored] again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension."
Sheen, who seems to be overly fond of the word "violent" if his liberal application of the term is any indication, has been in headlines for several weeks following the unexpected hiatus of production on "Two and a Half Men." The actor insists that he is "winning," presumably at life in general; in one quote, he responded to an interview question regarding his sobriety with: "The only thing I'm addicted to right now is winning. Ya know?" However, with Warner Bros. firing Sheen from the set-and possibly replacing his character with a less confrontation, difficult actor-it seems like they're the ones "winning" in this situation. Meanwhile, hundreds of cast and crew are indefinitely out of employment thanks to the mid-season hiatus, which begs the question: Is Sheen responsible for their loss of income, or are CBS and Warner Bros. Television?
In a true stroke of genius, Sheen recently joined the dozens of A-List celebrities regularly using a Twitter account-personally, that is, meaning there is no uncomfortable public relations representative between his thumbs and cyberspace. What this means for his followers? Proclamations of "winning" straight from Sheen himself! In response to the announcement of his terminated contract, Sheen took to Twitter on the evening of March 7th to address his 2,100,000 plus followers: "I'm looking to hire a #winning INTERN with #TigerBlood. Apply here - http://bit.ly/hykQQF #TigerBloodIntern #internship #ad." Unfortunately for Sheen, the time to hire an intern to help reign-in this debacle is long past. No matter what comes next for Sheen-and many of his remaining fans are concerned an overdose will be his next big headline-the general population can rest assured that more antics, eyebrow-raising quotes and blatantly offensive commentary will continue.
