Charlie Sheen is Outrageous

Pat Bartels
I use to enjoy watching Charlie Sheen on television and in the movies. I think now, though, he goes on my list of turn him off actors.

Not too long ago I wrote a post about Randy Quaid called, News from Hollywood: What's with Randy Quaid. In that piece I discussed a list of actors, along with Mr. Quiad, that I no longer will watch for various reasons.

Today Charlie Sheen has made my list. I suppose you heard that he wants a 50% raise in order to finish the season on "Two and a Half Men." He's been publicly insulting his boss, his show gets suspended, and now he wants a million dollar raise to return. He called his boss publicly a "turd" and a "clown." Normal people would get fired for that. But then again, actors aren't normal. This is something that Charlie made abundantly clear. He says he's "special."

Many problems in our society are due to the fact that we hold people in esteem that do not deserve it. We look up to people who have no control over their behavior. I'm all for leaving a person's personal life out of the lime light for the most part. There is a line that is drawn when they start to bring their personal lives into my living room.

Sometimes you feel that they are just thumbing their nose at you. You have made them famous, and now they are demi-gods. They are adored by the public, and they can do no wrong. They can say whatever pops into their brains.

Check out these quotes from his interview with ABC. It's clear that he thinks he's above everyone. He has superior intellect. I am not in awe of the man. As far as I'm concerned he makes too much money. He moves to the top of my list of celebrities that I won't watch or spend my hard earned money on. There are a lot better actors in the world who don't flaunt their greatness and throw it in your face. Thanks for the memories Charlie.

Yes, he's out of control, but have always loved his character (and acting) on 2 1/2 Men!

I love the show, but why does "he" have to be such a turd and ruin it for everybody else?!

I have seen this type of behavior before...."I'm the best in the world, and every one ele else is worthless"....It's definitely a mental disorder and very scary compounded by alcohol and drugs.

I heard that he may be suffering from manic bipolar and that is the cause of his rants. What a shame, cheers for the report

I say this with deep respect, Pat, but...what took you so long? He's so out of control at this point, he's incoherent and apparently delusional.
