Charlie Sheen Says New Two and Half Show Sucks

Viewers Rate the New Plot Pathetic

Tim Kenneally reports on OMG that Charlie Sheen, "Asked about the ratings slide that the show has taken since its eye-popping season premiere numbers, Sheen offered, "People aren't stupid, you know? Not all of them."

Kutcher is doing the best he can

Sheen was a critic of his replacement, Ashton Kutcher, who plays brokenhearted Internet millionaire Walden Schmidt on the show."He's doing the best he can," Sheen offered. "I don't think the role is cursed, but I'm extremely disappointed with how they're handling what I left behind." Apparently thousands of people agree with Charlie Sheen, myself included.

I've watched the episodes since Kutcher has been on the show, and frankly, as several commented on the above referenced OMG article, I feel the the same way. I liked Kutcher in the 70's show. His boyish character fell right into the mix on that show. On the Two and a Half men show, he stands out but not in a good way.

Too much boyishness

From the pilot plot of Charlie's death, the show has tried to stamp out all remnants of Sheen and yet, it is blatantly obvious to most everyone, the show was funny because of Sheen, and his interactions with the rest of the cast. The show, based largely on Sheen's real life, is missing the "male power" element.

This past week's episode showed Berta fawning over Waldon. It kind of made me want to puke a little in my mouth. As the episode continued, she was later shown with pussy cat make up and a bread stick, which tied into the skit about Alan's girlfriend doing a porn flick when she was 18 with a Master Baker. It just wasn't funny.

One and a half men

One commenter thought that the network would do well to bring back Charlie from the grave. Another viewer thought that he got enough of Kutcher being silly and stupid on the 70's show.

I said it before and I will say it again. The network could eliminate Kutcher and just show replays of the old skits in a "What Would Charlie Do" (WWCD) series, using Jake as a burgeoning but slightly misguided teen. One and a half men would be a lot funnier than what we are seeing now. The up-in-the- bedroom jokes are getting tired and old and no matter how much Kutcher tries, he just doesn't have the beef .

Nice article. I don't really watch the show. Charlie has himself to thank for not being on the show.

I really enjoyed the first 2 shows this season with Ashton. However, since Dancing with the Stars has gotten so good, I've missed the last 2 or 3 episodes. Given what the show, Two and Half Men's been through the past year, I'm sorry to hear so many people are not enjoying it. Guess I'll try to tune in within the next couple of weeks to see what's up. Thanks for this article, Kay!

I haven't seen the show since Kutcher has been on. It sounds like I am not missing much
