Charlotte, North Carolina is a growing city that is located close to the mountains and not too far from the ocean. It has a reasonably priced housing and an economy based in banking but is becoming diverse in the last few years with other businesses moving in. This growth has helped the city become a great place for sports fans as the city is home to a team from pretty much every major sporting event.

Charlotte Bobcats: While they struggle in the NBA year after year to make a dent in the pack, the Charlotte Bobcat tickets are inexpensive and entertaining. The stadium is located in the heart of the city which makes it a fun night out on the weekend or a post happy hour escape during the work week.

Carolina Panthers: Panthers play at Bank of America stadium and the tickets are usually available unless they have a shot at the playoffs. The environment is fun and friendly and as the team has been improving each year makes this upcoming season one to look forward to.

Lowe's Motor Speedway: Charlotte loves NASCAR and two big races take place here each year, the Coca Cola 600 and the Sprint All Star Race. Packed with fans from all over the races are one of the best family events in Charlotte. Parking is the only trouble of the events, but once parked, the day belongs to NASCAR.

Charlotte Knights: Minor league team for the Chicago White Sox, the games are very family friendly and put on a great firework shows on Saturday nights.

Charlotte Checkers: Minor league hockey team who in their 16 years of playing in Charlotte have made the playoffs 12 times. Fun, family friendly environment where tickets are inexpensive to attend.

Golf: Charlotte has a lot of golf but the main event is the Quail Hollow Golf Tournament formally the Wachovia Open which draws some of biggest names in PGA to play. The course is a gorgeous to walk around and the tickets are reasonable priced for anyone to attend especially the practice rounds early in the week.

If you like sports, Charlotte has something for you to do all year long and unlike some of the larger cities, tickets to these events are usually available with short notice and not that expensive. If you live in Charlotte or planning a trip, be sure to check out the calendar for the teams playing and see if you can't make it to a game while you are in town.
