Charter School Coming to Gowanus

The school is currently co-located in Sunset Park High School on 35th Street . This is a big success for the school since Summit Academy Charter School had faced some difficulties moving to Gowanus due to zoning laws.
Community Board 6's Landmarks and Land Use Committee had denied the Summit Academy 's permit request earlier this year because the space was designated for manufacturing, according to the Brooklyn Eagle.
