EW reported that "Chase" has immediately been removed from its midseason schedule, taking it off Wednesday nights in favor of two hours of "Minute to Win It." Low ratings were the main undoing for "Chase," and the 1.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic during its last episode had NBC wondering if it was time to pull the plug. That time came Wednesday, when a new two hour episode of "Minute to Win It" brought in a 3.0 rating in that same key demographic.
This is yet another show that NBC is moving out of the way as the clean shop right before the main part of sweeps month takes place in February. We reported yesterday that "The Cape" was canceled by NBC as well, yet another show that the network didn't want to find an audience for if they weren't going to tune into these latest episodes.
The bad news for fans of "Chase" doesn't end there though, as NBC has no plans of airing the remaining episodes that have already been filmed. This could be a series that ends up on DVD sets rather than NBC actually finishing out its run. We will try to update this information as soon as we learn if NBC is going to simply just bury the episodes late on Saturday nights or show them in the summer schedule.

Post a CommentI think it is absolutely ridiculous that NBC is cutting another good show for a stupid game show!! Let us repeatedly watch someone try and fail to win a million dollars. Yes, that hasn't been done before. Like beating a dead horse!! I am going to STOP watching NBC because they can not be trusted to give a show a chance and half the time they just leave you hanging out to dry on the show you were watching!! Please put someone with an IQ of more than 20 in charge of your line up!!
Really?!?!?! Again NBC?!?!? You cancel all the good shows & keep all the CRAPPY ones!! Maybe you should do a better job at advertising the good shows and given them better time slots. Bring back Chase, Trauma & Mercy Then you may get some veiwers back!!
I would not watch minute to win it if it were on for only a minute. Chase was a show that had action and seemed to have a good story line. To bad for NBC.
I am a 31 year old female (target audience) and I am truely disappointed to hear that this show has been cancelled. Other than my local news and the new show Harry's law, there are no other shows I watch on NBC. Like someone posted earlier, I hope Chase is picked up by another network. It is a fantastic show and if placed in the right time slot and promoted better, it will be great!
How much of 'Minute to win it' can a person take? Now they put reruns on for 2 hours Sunday Night. Chase fans need to boycott NBC. Jerry Bruckheimer needs to take his show to CBS. Another show NBC canned was LIFE. You have to give a show a chance before you pull it.
Chase was an excellent show. NBC failed in marketing the show, and changing time slots didn't help either. NBC didn't even try. NBC can't blame the show for their inability to market it.
Minute to Win It Sucks in Comparision to Chase. WOW NBC is stupid. I will not be watching anything on this station if they keep all this up.
I'm mad and disgusted with NBC. This show had an all-star cast and pursued serious topics and they're kicking it to the curb for crap like Minute to Win It? Seriously? I'll never understand their logic on this. I'm on my way to boycotting WB because after Smallville is done they'll only have one good show, Supernatural. Looks like NBC is going down the same route. SMH!
Loved the show. I thought the characters as well as the shows were very interesting and looked forward to watching it every week...do not watch reality game shows...
Chase was one the best shows out there. Better than The Cape, Parenthood and way better than min it to win it... You could have moved it to another time slot... Maybe right before Harry's Law (also new and good). I hope the series gets picked up by another network!
