Cheap Beauty Secrets

Raiscara Avalon
There are many beauty secrets that do not have to cost a lot of money. These are products that may already be laying around the house for other uses. Most if not all of these products can be found at the local dollar store for about a dollar.

Uncoated Aspirin

Take a few tablets of uncoated aspirin, dissolve in water and use as a wonderful face scrub. This face scrub works to keep skin smooth, prevent acne and brighten facial skin. Aspirin contains salicylic acid, which is the main ingredient in many acne scrubs.

Baby Wipes

Keep baby wipes on hand for makeup removal. Baby wipes will take just about any make up off the face, without being harsh to the delicate skin on the face. Keep baby wipes in your desk for quick clean ups, or to change from daytime to night-time makeup. Keep baby wipes in the gym bag to refresh and cleanse skin when in a hurry...or do not want to step foot in the gym showers.

Baby Lotion

An excellent all over moisturizer, especially for the face. Can also be used as styling lotion for your hair. Baby lotion is extremely gentle, formulated as it is for baby's delicate skin. Baby lotion absorbs quick without feeling greasy. Keep in gym bag or desk drawers for moisturizer on the go, or even keep a bottle in the car. Work at a computer? Then use baby lotion as hand lotion, and stop worrying about residue and sliding off the keys.

Vinegar

Clarifies your hair, and brightens color treated hair. Mix ½ cup of vinegar to 2 cups warm water to remove product buildup and brighten hair. Can be used either before shampooing or after. Vinegar makes an amazing rinse for hair, removing extra product and leaving hair feeling squeaky clean. Apple Cider vinegar is the best to use for the rinse, though any vinegar can be used.

Sugar

Dissolve in hot water for hair spray. Mix one table spoon sugar with about a cup of hot water, add to a spray bottle and spritz. Holds just as well if not better then commercial hair spray. Mix sugar and water to scrub away dead skin on lips. Take a teaspoon of sugar and just a few drops of hot water to form a paste. Using the ring finger of either hand, gently rub the paste onto lips. Use circular motions to scrub away dead skin, then rinse. Or of course you could lick it off!
