We are all born with a set of features. As we grow older, we learn to enhance our best features and downplay the rest. In order to look beautiful, we must maintain a healthy and glowing skin, clear and sparkling eyes, shiny, silky and thick hair.
Do you spend lots of money every month trying different and newer products? Well, I know saying or thinking we're worth it does not always help.
So, in this article, I will hightlight a few tips on how to take care of yourself with cheap at home ingredients. The truth is that all the products include some basic ingredients, which can be found in the kitchen cupboard or fridge, and can give great results when applied directly
Before discussing the ingredients, identify your skin type
1. Oily
2. Dry
3. Combination (T-Zone oily, rest of the face dry)
Next, there are 4 steps to maintain your skin.
1. Cleansing : Cleaning the skin
2. Moisturizing Moisturizing the skin
3. Toning : Tightening and closing the pores
4. Exfoliating : Getting rid of dead skin / scrubbing
Do the first three steps twice everyday. The best times are, in the morning, before applying makeup, and in the night, before going to sleep. Exfoliate your skin once every week to get rid of dead skin.
1. Milk contains lactic acid. Soak a cotton ball in Milk and wipe your face with it. The best cleanser you can find. Not recommended for Dry skin.
2. Honey :Take a bit of honey and spread on your face in an upward motion, rinse after a couple of minutes and it gives your skin a glow and moisturizes your face as well. Use on dry skin.
3. Lemon: Lemon is a natural toner and bleach. Its better, however, to dilute the lemon juice with water before applying. The peel of lemon can also be used on knees and elbows to lighten them.
4. Yogurt fights against wrinkles, and leaves the skin soft and fresh. Best for dry skin.
5. Mask for Tightening the skin
Take 1/2 tsp gramflour and add little water to make a thick paste. Spread it on the face. WAit for it to dry and then wash it off. This tightens the skin. It also exfoliates the skin.
6. For Sparkling eyes, soak two cotton balls in rose water and squeeze it. Put the cotton balls on eyes and lie down for a while. The soothes the eyes and relaxes them too.
7. Eye Circles: Eye area is very sensitive, it has to be taken care of. Make sure all masks you put on the face should never touch the area around the eyes.
Try putting cold cucumber slices on your eyes,
Slices of potatoes on your eyes
8. Nails: For healthy nails rub them with a piece of garlic. Also, for whiter nails, rub them with lemon.
9. For whiter teeth, rub a little salt on them.
10. For soft feet, rub Vaseline on your heels before sleeping and wear socks for great results, or just rub Vaseline and they will become soft in no time.
11. Take care of the skin on your neck, it can show signs of aging before the face does due to lack of lubrication. Apply honey for lubrication.
12. Take care of your diet. We are what we eat.
Beauty does not need to be expensive. It means taking care of ourselves, and knowing how to. As Loreal puts it "You're worth it". Do they say this to justify the expense that you will incur by using their product.

Post a CommentThe Loreal comment was interesting. It sounds to me like something to get you to buy that's obvious. It's a smart idea. It really does make you feel very worth it, until you think about what they're trying to do.
Thanks but what about the hair and so on??
Truly beautiful women do not have to spend a fortune on keeping themselves that way. A lot of what people buy/pay money for is packaging. Great advice here.
Good tips, although the article seemed to end abruptly in the middle of the Loreal comment.
Would like to have seen the continuance for the Loreal comment, good article to consider. Valid points included in it.
