Cheap but Cool Christmas Gifts for $10 and Under

$10 or Under Christmas Gifts Don't Have to Be Cheap and Cheesy

Cassandra James
With the world economy being in a shambles and many people worrying about buying Christmas gifts this year, more and more people will be looking for cheaper Christmas gift options. Gifts costing $10 or under would seem like a dream but, actually, it's quite easy to find Christmas gifts around $10 or under and they don't have to be cheesy. Look at the following $10 or under Christmas gifts, most of which you can give to a friend, a boss, a sister, a brother, a father, mother and many others.

Starbucks $10 Christmas Gift Cards - Don't forget the $10 Starbucks gift card. It might seem like not much money but that's a fair few coffees for most people and two or three lattes or americanos for others. Also, don't forget, people of all kinds love getting 'free money', and most would much rather have a $10 gift certificate for something they like and can save money on rather than a more expensive gift they don't really want.

Under $10 Action Figures - If you're looking for cheap toys for a child for Christmas, don't forget action figures. There are action figures available for characters such as Pokemon, Little Einsteins, Chronicles of Narnia, Power Rangers, Handy Manny, Cars, Digimon, and more. Check out Disneyshopping.com or ToysRUs.com for lots of fun action figures for under $10.

Under $10 Books - A really great $10 or under Christmas gift is a book. You can buy under $10 books for adults and children, relatives and families. Often, for children you can even get 2 books for under $10. A book or books will give a child, or an adult, hours of entertainment, and for 10 bucks that's a pretty good deal.

Under $10 Christmas Gifts for the Pet Owner - Pet owners often love getting gifts for their pets. You can get a few packets of pet snacks at any pet store for $10 or under. Put them in a pretty bag or tie them up with a ribbon and a handwritten Christmas card, and they make a great inexpensive Christmas gift for someone who loves their cat, dog, rat, rabbit, hamster etc. You could also buy pet shampoo and conditioner and a pretty neck ribbon and put those in a lovely little gift bag.

Photograph Frames Under $10 - There are some really beautiful photograph frames for between $5 and $10. Include a nice photograph of someone close to the recipient and that's a very cool Christmas gift for $10 or under. The last time I bought a photograph frame as a gift for a friend, it was only $6.99 for a beautiful green and blue frame made completely out of hand-blown glass. I added a funny photo of my friend and her dog, wrapped it in pretty gift wrap and gave it to her for Christmas. She loved it, and your friends will probably love a similar photo frame too.

Under $10 Coffee Mug and Coffee, Tea or Hot Chocolate - I love coffee mugs and so do many other people. Buy a cute coffee mug (often available for less than $4 at Target, K-Mart etc) and some specialty coffee, tea or a few packets of hot chocolate and that's a wonderful under $10 Christmas gift. Wrap it up in pretty wrapping paper or put in some colorful cellophane and tie with a ribbon, and add a cute gift card. For a unique touch, you can even add your own homemade gift cards or paper.

Under $10 Scarves Make Beautiful Christmas Gifts - Scarves are really in fashion now all over the world. I just bought two scarves yesterday, one for myself and one for my mother. Sure, I only paid $1 each for them, because I live in Thailand but, even in the US, you can buy lovely scarves with gorgeous prints that your mom, sister or friend can wear around her neck to brighten up a boring blouse or t shirt. Many scarves are priced between $5 and $10 yet, as a Christmas gift, they look so much more expensive. So choose a pretty scarf and wrap it in a gift box and your mom or sister will love you forever.

There really are thousands of ways you can say "Merry Christmas", with some really nice $10 or under Christmas gifts. Cheap Christmas gifts don't have to be tacky or cheesy and you can still choose something you know a friend would really like. After all, Christmas should be about the 'thought' of giving a gift and not about the cost of the gift itself.
