Quality Inexpensive Gift Ideas for Vegans

While considering cheap Christmas gift ideas for Vegan friends, remember that these people are our biggest animal fan-club. Veganism is not only about diet choices, it is a lifestyle choice that includes zero products of any kind that are made from any part of our animal kingdom. Cheap Christmas gift ideas for Vegan friends can be found easily; all it takes is a little more thought towards how products are made. Animal products show up in manufactured goods where you least expect them to be. When buying for a Vegan, stay away from the bumble bees; they will sting you. Beeswax, honey, and some paint and wax formula's that are used on wood include bumble bee produced products. Also, no wax should be used in the manufacturing process as well as the finished product. Get the picture? No critters!

Cheap Christmas gift ideas; the 'No-No's' for Vegan friends:

Cheap Christmas gift ideas for Vegan friends can not contain anything from an animal, or that an animal has made. No beeswax candles, silk, wood finished in shellac, gelatin-based squish toys, leather, lanolin in make-up or shaving gear, fur, feathers, wool, oil and milk based paints, or any sticky tape use on the package. It is also important to stay away from major brand names that sanction the use of animal products for human enjoyment.

10 Cheap Christmas gift ideas for Vegan friends:

1. Many people following Veganism as a lifestyle are extremely concerned about lost or homeless animals having enough to eat. Nice cheap Christmas gift ideas for Vegan friends can come from your thoughts on how to help them to deliver some pet food to an animal rescue organization, food bank, or homeless shelter.

2. Glass comes in many fine versions of cheap Christmas gift ideas for Vegan friends. While searching for the perfect little Christmas gift, do not ignore the antique shops. Vintage glass is often sold at very reasonable prices.

3. People following Veganism often have pets who would love a new designer food dish, collapsible pet water bottle, or other pet store trinket.

4. Metal key chain choices can come in the shape of your Vegan friend's favorite animal for under 10.00. When wrapping this Christmas gift, remember not to use any animal product backed sticky-tape.

5. It is possible to find all-natural fiber (non-shellac coated) wreaths and other straw items in a craft store to decorate inexpensively. Fun add-ons can include dried flowers, dog biscuits, packs of flower seeds for next year's garden etc... Use your imagination.

6. Live plants are a safe area to explore as cheap Christmas gift ideas for Vegan friends. Cactus plants are easy to care for, cat grass makes the cats happy, and an IOU for strawberry plants from next spring's seed catalog can promise that a special dessert is coming.

7. Do you remember all of that fun cheap cotton or hemp macramé that was around during the 1970's? It's back! And it's on your okay list to create or buy as Vegan Christmas gifts. Belts, drapes, key chains, and plant holders are just a few of the fun ideas to choose from. Another idea can be to buy your friend animal friendly supplies to make their own project.

8. Bird feeders that are made out of non-varnished, non-painted wood are always fun gifts. These can be coupled with a bag of wild bird food, a book about birds, or a pair of inexpensive binoculars to see the birds closer. Remember to buy a cheap hook to hang the feeder in front of a window for instant enjoyment.

9. There is nothing not to like about metal jewelry, picture frames, cheap garden art, or wind chimes. Just try to stay away from paints, leather hangers, and gun promoting symbols.

10. Cheap Christmas gift ideas for Vegan friends can also be found at a good grocery store. Rice and beans come in many unusual varieties that can be coupled into an inexpensive glass object for a pretty little Vegan Christmas gift.

Example: Not long back, I received a wonderful cheap gift of a few little commercially grown beans. Relatives to my beans were found at an ancient Indian site sometime during the 1990's and coaxed into reproduction. My 11 little beans will grow in my garden next year; and I'm one very happy to have them.

All it takes is a little imagination, and meaningful cheap Christmas gift ideas for Vegan friends can be found very easily. Happy Holiday Thoughts to All!

I'm a vegan, I wish my friends would get me these! I'm not selfish, I would love my gift to help others. But it's also cool to get new vegan products to try.

I did not know about the bumblebee thing.

Never realized sticky tape was an issue at all. As an activist, I know what it's like to receive gifts that you can't morally accept. You are trapped between not offending your friend and not offending your values. Most of the time I side with people and friends over issues. The best gifts I get are ones that say "We understand". Taking the time out to consider who someone is and what they believe in before giving a gift is it's own gift.

    It's not cheap, it's priceless.
