Cheap Date Ideas

Going out on dates can get expensive, especially if you go to a nice restaurant and go to the movies. Here are a few ideas for a less expensive date.

Have a candlelight dinner at home. It is cheaper to eat at home than to go out to eat at a restaurant. Plus you don't have to pay a tip! Hold hands while going for a walk and then sit outside and gaze at the stars together.
Watch a movie at home. Rent a movie or watch a movie that you already own and pop some popcorn in the microwave. Movie theater food can be expensive.

You could bake some cookies or cupcakes together. Then you could play some board games together. If you are artsy or creative, you could draw some pictures or draw pictures of each other. Try to do something creative with each other.

Go to a nearby park or scenic area and spend some time looking at nature. You could ride bikes through the park or you could pack sandwiches and go on a picnic together. Then you could skip dinner and only go out for dessert.

Go to the playground and sit on the swings and talk. Go to a public place, like a mall and people watch. See if you can spot people who resemble celebrities.

Cuddle on the couch and talk about the first time you met and what made you fall for each other. You could put on some nice music and slow dance with each other. Then you could spend time pampering each other and giving each other massages.

Find a free event in your area, like a free concert and go to it. Search for some love songs that the two of you can make as 'your songs' and burn them all on a cd. If you'd rather dance and have fun, get your friends together and have a dance party at your house with all your favorite dance songs.

Get some old photo albums out. Look at some old pictures of yourselves when you were younger. Try to get some grade school or high school photos out and you may end up with some good laughs.

Go bowling or play miniature golf. If you want to save even more money, grab a baseball bat and a ball that you might already have and go play in an open field. You could also play other things, like tennis or ping pong ball.

If you have a video game system and games, stay home and play some cool video games. They have karaoke games out now and you could both challenge each other to a singing contest. Make sure to pick out a game that the both of you will enjoy.
