Cheap and Easy Halloween Costumes for Men

A great Halloween costume doesn't have to cost a fortune or take an enormous amount of effort. Here are some quick, easy, and cheap ideas for a costume for your Halloween party or night of trick or treating:

Mime: Dress yourself in all black clothing and paint your face with white makeup. How much simpler can it get? Plus, it might be fun to spend the evening acting out everything instead of speaking.

Cowboy: Wear tight jeans, boots, a cowboy hat, and a Western shirt (or no shirt at all!). Carry a coil of rope to serve as your "lasso." Spurs and chaps would add to the outfit, but aren't absolutely necessary. If you want comic effect, bring along a stick horse as an accessory.

Julius Caesar: Wrap a white sheet around yourself to serve as a toga. Add a wreath of leaves worn around your head. Find a willing buddy to dress the same and follow you around with a dagger to pose as Brutus for an even more convincing costume.

Graduate/Professor: Drag out your old high school or college graduation cap and gown. Carry textbooks or a fake diploma (rolled up paper with a ribbon tied around it) for accessories to your costume.

Ghost: Can it get any easier than this? Cut two strategically places holes in an old white sheet and throw it over your head! Add streaks of lipstick for "blood stains" if you really want to get creative.

Coach: This is possibly the most comfortable costume in the list. Wear gym shorts or sweat pants, a t-shirt and ball cap with your favorite team logo, and a whistle around your neck. Carry a clipboard for an accessory. A big plus to this costume is that you can leave straight from your Halloween party to go to a football party without changing clothes.

Mummy: Cut a couple of old white sheets into long strips and use them to wrap yourself in perfect mummy style. Make sure to leave yourself breathing and eye holes!

Vampire: Dress all in black and slick back your hair with lots of hair gel. Wear a cape, or use a black sheet or large towel if you don't have a cape. Whiten your face with makeup or powder, and wear a pair of those cheap plastic fang teeth. Top off with red lipstick "blood stains" and you are an instant Dracula! Carry a rubber vampire bat as an accessory.

Love the way that you targeted costumes for just "Men". Don't find too many of those readily available that don't include a ton of store bought apparel. I will be including your article in my Calls 4 Content piece on "Best AC Articles on Quick and Creative Halloween Costumes". Thanks for the great info!
