I have used Walmart for a lot of our electronic needs for a lot of years. We bought a Sanyo television set fifteen years ago at our local Walmart, and the only reason it is being replaced now, is because of broadcasting being switched, and we figure now is the best time, with prices being so cheap.

Walmart has an Emerson 20" flat-screen for $99.78. Now, how cheap is that? This is the perfect gift for our grandkids because this television set has front AV inputs, which makes hooking up other components a snap. We're not real certain of the quality of this television set, but at this price we just had to give it a chance. For the family room, where we want a large television set, Walmart has a Sanyo 50" flat-screen plasma for only $976.54.

Sears has a Sylvania 20" flat-screen that makes a cheap Christmas gift at $179.99. This television, you can pick up in the store, or have it shipped to the address you need. It has 2 speakers, a headphone jack and components plug ins.

Target

The cheapest flat-screen television that I could find at Target was a Trutech 20" with silver casing for $129.00. The downside to this television is that it has only an analog receiver, so after February 19^th, you will need a converter. If you, or the person you intend this gift for is on cable or satellite, it makes a perfect cheap flat-screen TV for Christmas. It also works great with gaming consoles, a VCR and DVD players. It comes with a remote control and table stand. If you want the wall mount, it must be purchased separately.

Costco

I have never found electronics to be very cheap at Costco, but this year they have a Sharp 32" for only $499.00, and would make a perfect wall unit for a family room, or living room. Even though this is a little more money; for the size and it's appearance, I consider this to be a cheap flat screen TV for Christmas.

At the same store that you buy your cheap flat-screen TV for Christmas, you can also pick up a Wall Mount. They usually cost about $40 - $50, and since they are up on the wall, it will give you quite a bit more space in the room. And, even at this price, you still have a cheap flat-screen TV for Christmas!
